This CD is dedicated to my amazing parents, Giorgio & Nella Gina for their unconditional love and kindness; Aunt Gina & Uncle Tom (both, looking down from Heaven) who encouraged my singing; Nigel for his constant support; and Elissa for all she has done and her inspirational perseverance. This CD project is meant to evoke the feeling of a bye-gone era. I wanted to create an intimate, raw sound that replicates a live lounge performance. Many of the songs were recorded with one take, and minimal editing. I begin with songs about places dear to me. Torna Sorrento speaks of the beautiful Amalfi Coast of Italy, near where my father was born. Waikiki is where I currently live and love, Hawaii. Stardust, The Way You Look Tonight, P.S. I Love You, and Through the Eyes of Love are all songs of the heart. The two medleys that follow are inspirational. The Impossible Dream might not be as impossible as you think. You’ll Never Walk Alone, if you choose not to. There is a place for you Somewhere, even if you feel like you don’t fit in, keep looking—especially within. Climb Every Mountain until you achieve your goals and find your dreams. I have recently climbed many mountains that I had previously abandoned. This CD is one such mountain and I am glad I can share it with you. Finally, I Am What I Am is an empowering song that brings everything full-circle. It all begins with you, or I Am, you choose how you perceive everything in life. You choose your path and your destination by all the choices you make. Choose Wisely!

Kit Samson is one of Hawaii’s preeminent pianists. Having played for, and befriended many celebrities over the 23 years he performed at The Kahala Hilton, Kit is a beloved musical genius. In 2005, Kit had the honor of playing at President Bush’s Inaugural Ball.
